I gave this book 5 stars. Goldilocks promised not to take a short-cut, but she lied to her mom. When the three bears went to dinner, they thought the dinner was hot so they went for a bike ride. There were cool looking plants in this book. There's a funny part when the bears are alive and they talk.

The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus by L. Frank Baum

LifeAndAdventuresOfSantaClaus.jpg

This book is interesting and original. It was written in 1902 by the person who wrote the Wizard of Oz (and 13 other Oz books). The story starts off with a baby being left at the edge of a forest (the forest of Burzee), and was brought into the center of the forest by a Fairy nymph named Necile, who cared for him and taught him the ways of nature. In the middle of the book, there was a battle between the evil Awgwas and the good Fairies, Knooks, and Ryls; good triumphed over evil in that battle. Fairies never age, but Santa did because he was human. The story explains the origins of Santa's Reindeer, the first two were named Glossie and Flossie; they wore bells given by the Gnome king (which Claus traded toys for). It covers how Claus became the first and best toy maker in the world, and how he dedicated his life to making all children happy. The humans called him a saint (Santa) and the Fairy council granted him the "mantle of immortality" so that his traditions could continue for all days.
